How To Export Registration Templates From Toshiba Copier

TopAccess Scanning Templates - Possible To Import?

Nosotros accept many Toshiba copiers in our business firm, all of which are capable of scanning.

Nosotros are in the procedure of setting upwardly templates on each copier, one per user, and then that when the user scans using their template, the scan is saved to a binder personal to the user. This works fine.

Notwithstanding, it is painfully tedious setting this up for 100s of users, and that's just on one copier!

Is it possible to create some kind of template which can be applied to all copiers to save me having to practise the same thing so many times on each and every copier?

I can't meet annihilation in the TopAccess manual, other than importing users, but from what I can run across these are in no way related to the scanning templates

Any aid greatly appreciated

Thanks

Once ane motorcar is setup in that location is a way through elevation admission to export and re-import this info. You can not do this from a b/w to a color machine but well-nigh b/w tin can go to most other b/w. Which model machines are you working on?

And Star Trek was just a television receiver show...aye correct!

I have exported the file before simply when you look at the file information technology is not plain text it is in some proprietary Toshiba format. This was a couple months ago working on the same affair with 1 of our customers. Nosotros were left with the respond that there was no way to import templates, simply to back them up. Some models are capable of scanning to a windows domicile directory. You lot may have to update FW so there are instructions your service provider should take admission to which can guide you through which machines will and volition not work and what setup is required including the FW versions. This would featherbed setup of templates completely. I believe 3511 volition not work with this. 2500c should piece of work, 850 I'chiliad uncertain most... there is a bulletin your service people will have access to that explains it all.

I could be wrong and if so, someone please let me know, but I couldn't figure out a way to create templates on a reckoner so upload them to a copier.

I believe you tin non import templates from say ebridge v1 to ebrdige v2 or v3. I have run beyond a situation and if I remember right information technology was going from similar a 3511c type compages to a newer 4520c. I think that'south why Spock is asking about what models you have. It'south simple to try though under your TopAccess>Administration>Maintaince>Import OR Export. If information technology works information technology works and if not you lot volition know you lot have two incompatabile architectures.

TopAccess - Admin - Maintenance - Fill-in

Go to this and you will multiple bits of information that you can backup. If you only desire the Templates, and so but back that up, but if you lot desire the Templates and the Address Book, then practise a combined backup.

One time the backup is done, yous will that there is now a file created, next to the type of backup that you wanted. Right click on this and go save target as. Brand sure that you relieve the as a *.TBF (for e-Span 1) or *.ENC (encrypted backup file for eastward-Span 2 and up) as IE sometimes tries to salvage information technology equally an HTML file.

TopAccess - Admin - Maintenance - Restore

Become here to put the previous file that you backed up on other the other machines. Browse for the TBF or ENC file that you backed up in the correct field and so upload it to the auto. Then you will detect that there is a file next to the field that yous upoaded to. From here, check the little box next to the field and and then click the Restore 'Push button' at the top and this will restore the previous Templates or what e'er you backed upwardly to the new automobile.

Exist conscientious when doing this equally the Firmware versions of the machines need to exist similar. The Templates are model specific, they are Firmware specific. If all your machines are running version three or after (equally you mentioned your 850 is) and then you won't have an issue.

Also, I have been brash by Toshiba that y'all shouldn't effort to upload a colour machines templates to a B&W car and vice versa.

One problem that you are going to have is that the e-Studio 4511 is different to the residuum of your machines. It is merely an e-Bridge one and you won't be able to create Templates to put on that auto other than from another due east-Bridge one.

Delight don't enquire me for firmware or service manuals equally refusal often offends.

Y'all right in that yous can't create the Templates on a computer by editing the TBF file. Even though it is in evidently text, you notice a Checksum number about the top. The but style to create this checksum to validate the file is through the copier.

I have previously asked Toshiba for the checksum key so that I could write a picayune programme to create Re-Rite templates, only it isn't a mutual checksum. Information technology is acctually Toshiba proprietry which ways that no one is going to get it.

Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals every bit refusal oftentimes offends.
